Plans d'évasion by Michel François. Designed by Roger Willems. With Guillaume Desanges, Jean-Paul Jacquet, Philippe Van Cauteren, Nathalie Ergino. An extensive monograph of the Belgian artist, the book details photography, installation, sculpture, video, and print. Hugely influential in the institutional field as well as with fellow artists, he works in inventories and opposites to elucidate the relationships between the natural and manufactured world. 10.5" x 8.25", 360 pages. $59. Extended Caption (DDDG) by Stuart Bailey. With Jan Verwoert; designed by Roger Willems and Sam de Groot. Mr. Bailey organized a show with a selection of 43 images and graphics that had been part of past issues of the journal Dot Dot Dot, (which he co-edits with David Reinfurt). Extended Caption unfaithfully reproduces those pieces, along with 43 articles also from the journal that act as captions. The point is to subvert the usual dominant paradigm of text over image when presented in book form. In English and Portuguese. 13.5" x 9.75", 112 pages. $32. Add to cart
